WE JOINED A GYM! Right on the banks of the Shuangxi River. It has lots of incredible equipment, hula hoops, grass space for yoga, and its FREE. I met lots of ‘friends,’ but they didn’t seem to want to talk to me. All over the age of fifty, one woman in particular had lots of sweet moves and modifications on the equipment, so I just copied her.
She kept smiling at me
The gym is only a fifteen minute bike ride from the apartment, just over the river, through the park and past the best damn steamed buns in Taipei. They’re also the only steamed buns we’ve had in Taipei. Pictures of the buns and bun masters will be posted in our next food post. Hold tight, it’s coming soon! Until then, grab yourself some sushi; I’m dying for some.
- Bike path along the river

What a cool park! Are the bikes rented, or public, or what?
Joanne- Bikes are rented! They are all over the city at most bus stops.. We use the same cash card for the bikes that we do for busses and MRT(max line). We had the bikes for about five hours that day and it costed us just under $2!!
Fantastic!
