Tea Time & New Friends

After a sunny day in the park, Brad took us on a Hello Kitty (nǐ hǎo kǎi dì / 你好凱蒂) gondola ride up Maokong Mountain, nearly three miles high, to an abundance of different tea houses. Not like any tea house Drew or I have ever been to.. Very traditional to the Chinese and Taiwanese culture. We (sort of) enjoyed a meal at some Chinese street-food carts… Brad even got us to try stinky tofu. Never again. For those who don’t know what stinky tofu is, don’t worry.. You’re not missing anything! In this post I am including a picture of our new friend Jasmine. We met her the first day we arrived, and have been with her ever since. She is my Taiwanese TWIN; we both have half shaved heads, and share many of the same interests.
